Sora Adventure Treks Successfully Organizes Logistics for Global ‘Black Yak’ Everest Shoot

We recently organized the complete logistics for the Black Yak global branding advertisement shoot in the Himalayan Everest region.

A Monumental Project for a 50-Year Legacy
Black Yak is a premium outdoor brand celebrating its 50th anniversary. The brand itself was born from a Himalayan inspiration—when founder Tae Sun Kang was rescued by a black yak during a whiteout on Cho Oyu. Returning to the Everest region to shoot their global branding advertisement was a monumental homecoming.
- The Winter Challenge: To capture the true, rugged essence of the mountains, the shoot took place during the challenging winter season.
- Scale of the Operation: Our team seamlessly managed a massive 70-person crew.
- Global Roster: The team included 16 Korean members, 2 Canadian cameramen, 1 Albanian model, and around 40 dedicated Nepalese staff.

- Aviation Coordination: We facilitated rapid transport and aerial logistics using Prabhu helicopters.
- Technical Mountain Support: Our team supported complex on-ice shooting, including technical ladder crossings mimicking the treacherous Icefall route.

The project was spearheaded by acclaimed Korean Director Yongjin Eun (Damian), who has a portfolio of over 200 films. He expressed immense admiration for the unique natural beauty of the Himalayas.
